Small Animal Veterinary Services

At Caprine & Ewe Veterinary Consulting, we bring high-quality veterinary care directly to your home—combining the convenience of mobile service with the depth and capability of a full-service practice.

We believe that exceptional care doesn’t have to come at the expense of comfort. By evaluating your pet in their home environment, we’re able to reduce stress, improve the quality of the exam, and build a more meaningful connection with both you and your pet.

Comprehensive Care, Wherever You Are

  • Our mobile services are designed to meet a wide range of needs, including:

    • Wellness exams and preventative care

    • Vaccinations and health screenings

    • Diagnostic evaluations and treatment plans

    • Skin, ear, and allergy management

    • Chronic disease management

    • Geriatric care and pain management

    • End-of-life care and in-home euthanasia

We take a thoughtful, individualized approach to every patient—because no two pets (or families) are the same.

Full-Service Care—Including Surgery

  • While we provide the majority of care in the comfort of your home, we are also proud to offer access to surgical and advanced procedures through a trusted local veterinary hospital.

    This allows us to provide:

    • Spays and neuters

    • Soft tissue surgeries

    • Anesthesia and advanced monitoring

    • Procedures requiring a sterile surgical environment

By combining mobile medicine with access to a fully equipped surgical facility, we are able to offer the best of both worlds—personalized, in-home care with the safety, equipment, and support needed for more advanced procedures.

Neonatal (lamb/kid/cria) Management

  • Failure to thrive evaluation & treatment

  • Colostrum supplementation

  • Enteral nutrition support/tube feeding

  • Intensive care & transfusion support

Lab Services

  • Bloodwork (in-house & external lab)

  • Necropsy (on-farm/MSU DCPAH submission)

  • Sample submission to fully accredited veterinary diagnostic labs (WADDL, Cornell, & MSU)

  • Fecal exams (McMaster’s fecal egg count)

Emergency Care

We understand that urgent and emergency situations can arise unexpectedly, and we strive to provide timely care whenever possible.

Established Clients

For established clients, same-day urgent and emergency services (including evenings and weekends) are available whenever possible. Our priority is to ensure continuity of care for patients we actively manage.

Non-Clients & Lapsed Clients

Emergency cases for non-clients or lapsed clients may be seen based on Dr. Holahan’s availability. Emergency care cannot be guaranteed for non-clients, as priority must be given to established patients.

Dr. Holahan works collaboratively with other veterinarians to help ensure coverage when she is not immediately available. If we are unable to accommodate your pet, we will help guide you to appropriate emergency resources.

Emergency Fees

Urgent and emergency visits—both for established and non-clients—are subject to additional fees due to the nature and timing of care.

Definition of an Established Client

For the purposes of emergency care, a client is considered current/established if their pet has been seen for routine, non-emergent care (such as wellness exams or preventative medicine) within the past 12 months.

A Different Kind of Veterinary Experience

Our goal is to create a veterinary experience that feels more personal, more thoughtful, and more aligned with what pets and their families truly need.

Whether we’re visiting your home for a wellness exam or coordinating a surgical procedure, we are committed to providing care that is compassionate, thorough, & held to the highest standard.
