Cancellations

Our time is limited, and we plan our appointment days to optimize travel time. As such clients who cancel appointments without at least 24 hours notice will be subject to a fee equal to the farm call.

Communications & Consultation

Dr. Melissa is available for calls/texts during regular business hours (9am - 9pm on weekdays). Email is also an excellent way to communicate with us about non-urgent questions. However, if you are not an established client, have questions/concerns about a patient who has not been seen/treated before or need information that cannot be quickly and easily communicated over text/call/email we will charge a consultation fee.

Veterinary Client Patient Relationship

We consider you to be an “active” client and have an up to date veterinary client patient relationship (VCPR) if your herd has been seen in-person by Dr. Melissa within the past year. Seeing the doctor at least yearly, ideally bi-annually, ensures that our practice knows what animals are part of your farm and has an up to date understanding of your management practices. The maintenance of a VCPR will become even more critical in the summer of 2023 when the FDA begins requiring a prescription for all medically important antibiotics, including those such as Penicillin and LA 200 which can currently be purchased over the counter.
